Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation

This foundation is primarily aimed at people with oily skin. Even though I have combination skin I have loved Rimmels Matte products before so I had high hopess for this foundation. 

I was very pleased with the colour match! I have incredibly pale skin and other than one other foundation, this is my perfect match! (Shade 100 - Ivory) 

Also this foundation leaves an amazing matte finish, so far the description Rimmel have provided delivers amazingly! But, it has its flaws. Rimmel claims this foundation to have "Up to 12 gours natural shine control" as I have combination skin, I have an oily T-zone, nose and chin. This lasts a maximum of 2 hours on those areas and then goes patchy on my cheeks and surrounding areas. 

As people with oily skin would reach more towards the matte foundation this doesn't deliver in the long-run. When first applied it seems this foundation is amazing, yet when you return home from school, college or work you'll come to find that its become patchy and even non-existant in several places. 

If you have the time this foundation is great for you! But if you don't have much time to do so, I wouldn't recommend this to you.

17 Maximum Volume Mascara

"Builds lashes for thicker, longer, more defined volume. Non-clogging and easy to apply."

This is what 17 are claiming this mascara with provide you. Whereas, in my experience of mascaras, even though its at the cheaper end of mascaras, it fails to please me. 

17 claim that this mascara "builds lashes for thicker, longer, more defined volume." in my opinion this mascara is better for lengthening your lashes not making them more  voluminous like they claim. 

Also, the brush on this mascara fails to please me. As a mascara lover, I have learnt that I have a preference to plastic brushes. I personally wouldn't of even purchased this if Boots had a brush out on display as Max Factor, Loreal Paris and No7 have. 

This mascara could be used in a positive way also, but in my opinion, you'd need another mascara to go over the top to make the lashes have more volume and appear thicker, as this mascara merely gives you the length. 

Another positive point on this mascara is that it's fragrance free, and I doubt you need me to tell you the positives of this factor.
